CAT Agility Handling Workshops

This a fundraiser for the CKC Canadian Agility Team, sponsored by Highrun Dogs Sports, all monies raised from this workshop will be used to help fund the competitions expenses for the 2008 FCI Agility World Championships in Helsinki Finland, September 26-28, 2008
The focus of the workshops will be on motivation, obstacle performance, handling and the use of distance. All exercises will be tailored for the individual dog and handler team to maximize learning and performance and will emphasize the dog and handler relationship, including physical and mental readiness. A fun match is scheduled for August 10th.

CAT Weavepole Training Clinic

Learn to motivate speed and make entries from all angles. You will learn Wendy M's modified weave pole-training method, theory, obstacle entry, and obstacle performance. Working dogs will be put through drills with Wendy giving you helpful pointers to correct style, and application of her theory and training method.

Welcome to two full days of training with Joy and Vaughn. They will make conformation training fun and easy for you and your dogs. They have 37 years of showing dogs in both conformation and obedience. Their success is well proven with over 100 All Breed and Specialty Best in Shows on their Standard and Toy Manchesters and Vizslas, with High in Trial on both breeds. Vaughn is a CKC licensed obedience judge. They both train classes all year around and coach their many students at dog shows. All of our workshops are tailored to your needs. From first time beginner to very advanced handler campaigning a specials dog. Every workshop is different and kept interesting with new training games.

Manchester Terrier Breed Standard Seminar

In conjunction with its National specialty, the Canadian Manchester Terrier Club is presenting its official breed standard seminar for Manchester Terriers on Friday September 26th at 7:00 p.m. in the upstairs lounge at Heritage Park. The seminar covers both the Toy and Standard varieties and will be of interest to current and prospective judges as well as fanciers interested in the breed.
The seminar consists of a Powerpoint presentation and accompanying workbook. If you would like a copy of the workbook, please email Sue Coghlan to reserve your copy. There is no cost for the workbook but the club needs to know how many to have printed for the seminar.
