Biography
I began showing shelties in the mid 1970's under the kennel name Villager. I was lucky enough to visit some of the top breeders/kennels at the time and had several wonderful mentors who taught me the importance of type and looking ahead generations of planned breeding to obtain qualities that were important to me. Though always small in numbers, I have bred, owned, and shown multiple Specialty winning Champions in all colors. I have been lucky enough to own and show a Century Club winner, an All-Breed Best in Show winner, and a National Specialty winner.

When judging, I try to respect not only the dogs but the exhibitors for their hard work. I look for overall balance, the details of head that make our breed unique, and an animal that moves correctly because it is put together well. My greatest thrill is seeing that special dog, walk into the ring and shine - the perfect blend of type, form and function. I have been an ASSA member since 1980 and am currently in charge of Ringside Education
