Mr. Rodriguez has been a breeder of the Podenco Ibienco Breed since 1979 and was the
owner of "El Gallinero" whose progeny included a large number of Spanish Champions,
International Champions, and World Cup winners from the United States, Canada and
multiple countries.
An International Judge of the Royal Canine Society of Spain since 1981, Mr. Rodriguez
began his judging career as a Judge specialist of the Ibizan Hound. He expanded his
resume to Judge Specialist of Spanish Canine Breeds and later was appointed Judge of
Groups IV, VI, VII and many other breeds. Currently, he is considered to be a Specialist of
all Spanish Canine Breeds and is an International Judge of all Canine Breeds (ALL
ROUNDER).
Mr. Rodriguez is the author of the following Spanish Breed Standards: Ibizan Hound
(update), Majorcan Dogo, Andalusian Hound, Podenco Canary, and Majorcan Ratter
(unrecognized).
He has judged in Exhibitions, Nationals, Internationals, Europeans, and Worlds on five
continents.Mr. Rodriguez has judged in practically all Dog Shows in Spain.
Mr. Rodriguez, in Palma de Mallorca, participates in drafting the animal protections laws
of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands (1992).
He founded the first classroom environment that existed in Spain at the Palma City
Council Center for Excellence in Animal Protection. While Mr. Rodriguez was at the town
hall, he had over 50,000 students participating in The Love of Dogs. He founded the first
municipal free training school focused on the citizens of Palma who were having
problems with their dog’s behavior.
Mr. Rodriguez works to train the local police of Palma in matters related to dog breeds,
trafficking of animals and biopiracy.
Mr. Rodriguez holds distinctions including the Gold and Brilliant Badge of the S.C.B., the
Gold Badge of the S.C.B., the Gold Badge of the R.S.C.E. and several local distinctions
(Council of Mallorca and the Government of the Balearic Islands). |
