| Carolyn Ayre Phone: 403-703-0554 Email: Carolyn.ayre@gmail.com BIOGRAPHY I grew up in a dog show home. My mother, Darlene Ayre, is a life member of the CKC, Red River Terrier Association, Cairn Terrier Club of Canada and German Shepherd Dog Club of Manitoba. I got my spirit of volunteerism from my mother, who was a member of and show secretary for several all-breed clubs in Winnipeg, Manitoba, through out the years. I have been attending and participating in dog shows my entire life. I was a junior handler and have handled various breeds through-out the years. I love dogs! Conformation is my passion and I consider myself a life-student of purebred dogs. I am constantly researching, studying, watching and learning about varioius breeds. My favourite book as a child was the Visualizations of the Breed Standards, which I would read and study over and over. I have never lost my love of learning about purebred dogs! Although conformation is my passion, I train and compete in obedience, rally and scent detection with my German Shepherd Dogs. I am a member of Evelyn Kenny Kennel and Obedience Club (2018-current) and am the Club’s Secretary. I am a member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Canada (2004-2009; 2017-current) and have served two terms on the Board of Directors and several terms as the Chair of the Disciplinary Committee. I am also a founding member and current member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Canada - Wild Rose Branch (2021-current). I was previously a member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of London (Ontario)(2004-2013). I am also currently a member of the Appeal Committee of the Canadian Kennel Club. In my "real life" I am a lawyer employed by the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service as Crown Prosecutor, where I specialize in Internet Child Exploitation prosecutions. In 2023 I completed the Canadian Kennel Club’s required Introduction to Conformation Judging Seminar.
